About Sam Gellar:
Samantha Gellar kicked off her writing career with a short chapbook of poetry in 3rd grade, including the much-lauded composition “Feast Egg.” In high school, her play Life Versus the Paperback Romance gained national attention and was subsequently performed at the Joseph Papp Public Theater, in New York City, starring Mary Louise Parker and Lisa Kron with Paula Vogel serving as dramaturge. She has earned her BA and MFA in writing from Hollins University and Queens University respectively, the latter of which she studied under Elizabeth Strout. She spent several years in the Hollywood movie industry providing script coverage for producer Denise DiNovi and serving as a judge in the Fresh Voices Screenwriting competition. She currently resides in Ithaca, NY with her wife and growing gaggle of rescue cats, dogs, and chickens.
Her debut novel is Fade Into You forthcoming from Simon & Schuster in November 2025. It’s a swoony, opposites-attract YA romance set in the late 90’s, co-written with
her wife and New York Times bestselling novelist Amber Smith.
